Hi, I am having a major issue with my Truma Ecombi 6E, We was away last weekend hot water & heating all working fine on gas and electric, sunday morning the missus wakes up complaining she's a bit chilly so i switched from all electric heating to electric & gas mix. Then the trouble started the boiler will not fire up on any setting, all fuses are good etc, batteries fully charged and was on hookup. when we got home i read the code (no.6) have replaced the combustion fan (although it seemed to work ok) @ the reasonable price of cough ! £250 However i have installed this and am now getting a completely different code 46 which could be control switches (analogue) cable, circulation fan or combustion fan, has anyone else had this fault if so how was it solved as i spoke to truma and they were reluctant to give me any info as i'm only the "end user" any help would be much appreciated.

Fault No.: 0046
Flashing code: ssls llls
Fault description: - 1) Circulating air motor faulty 2) Combi control panel or control

faulty 3) Cable harness faulty
1. Action: Replace circulating air motor
2. Action: - Replace Combi control panel / control panel cable
- Replace Combi E power selector switch or control panel connecting
cable
3. Action: - Combustion air motor supply cable, check black cable for short
circuit or red cable for breakage
- Replace cable harness
- Replace combustion air motor if cable harness is undamaged

The first PDF has more error codes than are mentioned in the manual.

Even though a particular code may be displayed it may not mean your unit is totalled but it might give you a clue to be able to get it working again.

The second PDF explains the Truma CP Plus control panel reset procedure. If the error on the Truma CP Plus control panel is flashing then follow the reset procedure from the control panel. The important thing is to wait 15 minutes before doing anything.

There is also a physical reset on the Truma Combi 6E. If you remove the connection cover check if the status light on the right side is flashing green or red. The number of red flashes is the error code. To perform the reset push a pen into a small hole on the left and see if the red status light changes to a steady green. This worked on second attempt for us. Watch out for electric shock if you are connected to mains hookup.

For every turn on and off and every setting change and every reset give the system time to settle down before trying again.

Hi,
had troubles with intermittent operation which was traced to the lead from the heater control panel and it’s RJ11 connector at the 6E unit.

worth having a fiddle when trying the unit, if you take the cover off to get at it watch out there’s 240vac in there and don’t recall it being too well shielded (only on EHU)

ended up cutting off the connector and crimping a new one on, no further issues in that respect.
