We are on our third Adria twin and have never had a heating/hot water problem before. Everything works fine on gas but plugged into the mains the flashing red on the control is on. we have had this van for 5 years and this has not happened before. I suppose our next job is to get at the circuit board and see what the sequence of flashes on the light there is. Anyone had a similar problem?

try again with the engine running it will eliminate it being a low voltage problem

I believe that the blinking red light indicates that there’s no 230v supply. If you’re on EHU then perhaps a circuit breaker or fuse has blown? Good luck.

Thanks. It is plugged into the mains from the house and the fridge and the two three pin plugs are working. I will have a look at the light sequence on the circuit board.

Phone Truma, they’re really helpful.

videoed the light sequence and phoned truma. It is error 45 a fuse failure on the circuit board and guess what it is not classed as something you can do yourself!

You can because I did mine. Disconnect from the mains and turn off the 12v power. There’s a cover on the top which just unclips upwards. Then, on either end of the main cover, in the top corners, are two screws. Remove these and then the cover unclips at the bottom. Down at the lower left hand side you’ll see the 240v fuse. This is the one you need to replace. (It can’t be the 12v one as that feeds the warning led’s) You can get the fuses on eBay or from caravan/motorhome dealers. They are 5x20 mm 10 amp quick acting, interrupting capacity H. It’s all pretty straightforward.

Error 45 is probably the 240v fuse has failed. Check which one you need from the manual.

It's hidden on the panel at the bottom of the unit. It can be a bit of a sod to get at but is definitely a DIY doable replacement item.

On my IH I had to dismantled all the rear furniture and take the boiler out but with a long screw driver and a star drive set it's easy to do but takes a good few hours first time.

But try the overheat reset at the top of the boiler first as that only needs the red button being pushed in.
