Can anyone help please? Having booked a single ferry trip to Spain in September, I am now struggling to get travel insurance sorted. Single trip cover providers require a precise return date to be booked and we planned to leave that decision until later in the trip.

The answer? Multi trip annual cover. Fine but we are over 70 and the individual trips are then limited to something like 31 days.
I would welcome any advice, please.

I am not sure that many companies will cover a trip that is already booked unless it’s taken at the time of booking.
That said we use Avanti multi trip.

Just give them a return date that is the latest you will come back. It won't matter if you come back earlier.
To comply with insurance you would need to book the return but you could then change the booking.

I almost fell foul of this on a past trip. We always used to book single out and then book a return online a few days before we wanted to come back.
Someone pointed out to check the small print, there it was "a return trip must be booked".. So check the terms and conditions..

Thanks Phill, most actually require you to have already booked the trip.

Thanks Lenny, I have just realised that they don't actually want to see your ticket, just the dates. So I guess I can just state a date of return and as long as we return before that then all is well.
