Hi, all, anyone got a m/home on the transit with durashift

automatic gearbox? have heard some scary stories about these 'boxes.
I would like some FIRST-HAND ( not hearsay) comments from owners.
M/home is a n Autosleeper Rienza 2005 vintage with 45811 miles on the clock.
Thanks in advance,
Cheers, Dave(y)

3750 miles a year would concern me more, do you know how many owners? It's not been used much or been in a garage getting fixed regularly...?

We have a Duetto on a Transit with the auto box. Now at the risk of tempting the god of retribution, we have had this for 5 years with almost no problems. On 1 or 2 occasions it has "lost" a gear IE. goes from 2nd to 4th, when switched off and on again it's been fine. It is a bit clumpy in town, but on hills in Cornwall it is fantastic, even when towing a trailer with a Harley.
