Another quick question if you don't mind. ;-). Our radio reception has always been poor and whilst poking around behind the dashboard I cam across this little chap all coiled up and connected to nothing.

It's a lot skinnier than the kind of aerial leads I'm used to but it looks to be radio reception related with and accompanying power supply. Is this a Transit standard aerial lead? There's no matching socket on the back of the radio though.

you are certainly getting about that van tim.. have had a look at photo and from memory nothing like the connections on the back of my radio.. if you need a photo of the connectors on mine say and ill do it tomorrow and post it..

The centre looks like a aerial feed although the screen has been cut back, the red & black look like power so I suggest it should go to an aerial with either a pre amp at its base or an electrically extending one.
