Hi All.
Anyone have experience of either of these products. Seeing them at the NEC they seem impressive, but not sure how effective they will be in warmer temperatures. Any input gratefully received.
Thanks
Sean

they are a proper air con unit, but can only be used when on EHU and with the condensor unit hanging outside a window,
they do work pretty good, but at temp over 30 degrees they really do struggle - so any unit not having a refrigerant gas in is unlikely to be any where near as effective.
Evaporative cooler , big ones that fit on roof of house and are ducted work well in very dry (Low humidity) climates , eg Australia ideal for cooling shops with doors opening a lot as they require big airflow . So this is about everything that these little boxes aren't , save your money .
Had a Total Cool for 2+ years and it works well enough to cool the dog down and the van by a bit. The trick is to use freezer packs and ice cold water when filling it. Given that it is likely to be very hot when we are using it I ain't bothered about a bit of moisture in the van as it won't last long. Had a small issue with it and the service was excellent from them. Unless we ever fit hab AC (unlikely) we will continue to use it as long as the mutt is happy.
If you don't have Aircon it might be worth trying but the physics suggests they're a waste of time. The unit will cool from the evaporation of water the heat then being released when the moisture condenses onto a surface. The motor for the fan will meanwhile warm the MH
We have 2 versions, both work well keeping the dogs cool. The dogs take it in turns to lay in front of it and chill down. These don't go down to freezing cold, just chill the air blowing through, which you can speed up, slow down and divert in different directions
