hi all
iv just brought our first motorhome and it has come with a tracvision r4sl dome .
i was told by the chap we brought it off just put any satellite receiver box on and it will work.
unfortunately this is not the case the receiver just says no satellite signal and you may need to configure SCR ?????
has anybody had this problem or could help please .
thanks Ian

Ian, I have the same dish, I seem to remember having the same issue. Despite the box saying no signal input I entered my postcode and got it to scan which worked for me. Silly question but you have power to the dish ?

I don't know your dome but it's operation is controlled from its own panel rather than a satellite receiver. If when you turn it on the dome hunts for the satellite selected on its control panel, stops after a while, and goes silent, it is working correctly. You will then need to use the satellite receiver to hunt for channels. The dome at this point is simply like a dish on a house and plays no more part in the procedure.

I am using a Grundig GUSAT02HDEX it’s about 7 years old by now so probably been superseded, the feed from the dish goes into LNB IN and the output from the Grundig is through a HDMI cable to the TV.

I have nothing connected to that KVH box that’s for maintenance. I would try manual setup next, ( i am no expert) if you have the lnb connected to lnb in and the tv source set to hdmi what could possibly go wrong. Have you got the receipt?

Since 2015.......
We have the same dome on our Rapido. Connected the Avtex tv with Freesat, it did whirr round a bit, then found loads of channels. Then I turned the dome switch off whilst on site. Just go through your connections again. Like others have said, it sounds like the dome is working ok

have r5sl, looks the same as yours, just connected a sky+ to it and it worked fine.

you can set it up with a laptop but if your not uber savvy with laptops, serial ports and telnet, just take it to conrad Anderson, they are the UK dealer.
ours is a good system but the lack of interface without laptop might be a problem if it goes wrong.
