I've just read on Amazon --- Does not work on the "THREE" network.

Guess what I'm on?

We got one of these from Halfords a couple of years ago when they were on offer. Plus 10% off with AA card.

They work very well. Simply send a text from any mobile. I think it costs about 2p every time it sends us a reply text with a link to Google Maps. We put a PAYG Asda sim in it and loaded it with £5.

We try to send a text every month to make sure it is working.

The one I bought came with a micro USB cable that can be hard wired to the leisure battery.

How much data does a thing like this use and what is this likely to cost if it uses it's own data sim?

You need a separate sim for the tracker. Doesn't matter what your phone is on. They don't work on the 3 network because it does not support 2G GPRS

A few pence per week if it's set to sleep and not waken until moved or called.

I have a similar one from eBay with a Tesco payasyou go sim, all the messages are by text, no data. You ring the number and it send you a text with its location, can set up to text you when it moves. The battery life on this one is sh!t only 1-2 days. Mine does 3 months between charges. Thier are better on the market for not much more money.

You make me laugh you spend 10000s on a van and spend hours trying to save pence

Frankly if their any good it going to get stollen

Have you got a link to yours please?

I thought I read somewhere that the problem with trackers (generally) is thief's scan for them, locate and then remove them. If so, aren't they now pointless?
