Took the perfect video only to realise phone was on photo

Had the air ambulance in the field behind our house, thought i'd get a video of it taking off. Brilliant I thought got home plugged phone into PC only to find I hadn't set the phone to video, all I got was a picture of green grass...Grrr lol what a plonker. No one was put into it must have taken whoever by road.

If it makes you feel any better i have recently been trying to make a video of how to use our rental trailer tent. Spent about four hours filming only to find that the audio recorder had a fault, the hand held cam was fitted wrongly into its gimbal mount so it blocked the Mic and the dslr running on the tripod was too far away to gather any decent audio. And that's not even taking into account the fumbled explanations, poor shot framing etc. Making good videos is damned hard work.

Was scuba diving when I was in Florida working. At 25m was met by a friendly 3m long moray eel who proceeded to swim doing figure of 8's between me and my buddy.
Took lots of pictures with my nikonos underwater camera only to find later I did not catch the film on when loading so didnt get any pictures.
Once in a lifetime experience not recorded.

On the other hand, I have taken loads of videos of my feet walking along the road when I thought I had taken a nice still image and then moved on

A mate of mine was filming at Silverstone in 1981 (?) when Barry Sheene had his huge crash. He pressed rewind to check the footage, then filmed over it.
