Tom Tom Go 300

I ave the original TTgo 300 and recently went to upgrade mapping to be told i need to pay £46. I thought the mapping upgrades were for life.

Am I wrong?

How do I go about getting mapping for France?

Like most things John, you have to keep paying. I've bought payroll software and you have to buy it every year, its called a service and support charge but its just paying again. Bit like MHF you have to pay for the privilege to post every year.

With regard to the maps, unless you are finding the TomTom really getting it wrong I wouldn't bother upgrading, its not like any roads are being built

this might help, if not then ignore..

not sure if you have the emea maps and not just the uk ones

if you buy the emea ones they are 65 quid and you obviously get the uk ones as well

then it works out quite a good deal

just buy a 1gb or 2gb card from ebuyer or somewhere similar as they are a bit more expensive from tomto

the downloads all happen across the web and is easy

i did all this for my 510 and i am presuming you could do the same with the 300
