is it possible to connect another monitor to the tom tom unit so that driver and passenger can view a screen, seats are too far apart for both of us to view, i dont want to buy another tom tom although this is probably the easiest way

To connect another monitor you would need an output. I yet to see a satnav with a output. You could use a tablet notebook with a suitable antenna and software.
