I use an ATMB tag which I acquired when there was an offer on. My son in law would like a tag as well and I'm just asking if anyone knows of any good deals going at the moment. I've google but haven't seen anything

Thanks

Paul

Atmb Evasion is still only 15 euros to obtain the tag, and just 1.90 euros per month on top of the standard toll, you only pay the 1.90 on the months you travel.

Yes, that's what I have. Looks like some have to have French bank account.

emovis Tag, formerly SANEF, have a British base which can be used with a British bank account. We have been using it for a number of years with absolutely no problems.

It is available on line if you Google.

Just a question. I have a friend who has a French toll Tag for his car. He's not planning on going to France this year.
Could I borrow it off him and use it in our motorhome? Are there cameras that read number plates? or is it just down to information recorded to the Tag?
Only a thought but could save myself some money.

Just the info on the TAG.

We swap ours between cars and the motorhome all the time. (The Bill will go to him, of course, so keep a check,on the costs).

I don,t know about the other ATMB tags, we are on our second Evasion tag the first one the battery ran out after 5 years it was easier to order another then send the old one away to get a exchange, we have always registered a card against the tag and payed that way, they debit the card a month after the last trip.

No problem, provided it's the usual tag for Class 1 and 2 and he's happy to pick up your bill...:giggle:

It's no cheaper - biggest advantage with a RHD vehicle is being able to stay seated.

The reason why we eventually got one is because I have to pay (physically I mean, it's a joint bank acCount so it's all 'our' money) and it gets tedious plus people behind you when every single time, because of the height of the cash and card slots, the car one is too low and the lorry one too high to reach whilst inside the moho, since the cab door windows do not roll down into the door, far enough - and I have extra long arms but that doesn't help. So much easier to just drive straight through the high 't' lane!

I've noticed recently that they are opening some of the height barriers on the 30kph nonstop lanes, major advantage on busy toll stations. Also I find it's usually quickest to follow the lorries through the far righthand lane.
