Toilet window blind - ideas?

Hi - on our latest trip I managed to park the van with the toilet window facing East to catch the morning sun and therefore incurring the wrath of the significant other ... So does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can fit to the window that will help? There is not much room - see picture attached so I was thinking some sort of blackout curtain either on a roller or attached in some other way. The window still needs to open so permanently covering it wouldn't work, but I suppose painting it might. Thanks!

I used stuck Velcro strips on the top and the bottom of our window, then sewed some Velcro to a blackout blind. Easy to put up and take down in seconds.

Bought a new Burstner in 2008 and it had an unblinded toilet window so bought a roller blind cassette and two sides which are commonly used in Caravans, bought it from O’Learys near Hull.

You could simply make a pad to go in it, l made one from some spare internal insulating screens for our roof vents to keep the sun out as we have dogs but they also are useful to keep the heat in when it's below freezing. I made the pads very slightly bigger than the vents so they stay put with no fixings but are easily removed.

I used a bamboo one in the bathroom. Comes in lots of widths and can be trimmed to fit, which is what I did. Let’s light in, but is private.

Easily used with self adhesive hooks, instead of screw in hooks.

You're correct - very little dimming from the inside. And you can people watch whilst on the throne - which can be a little disconcerting.

Sounds like a good plan, but I fell at the first hurdle as I'm not at all sure what Internal insulating screens look like or where to buy some ... are they like these?

nice try but no house points ... He needs to stop the light coming in completely.

We've got a blind. I've had to fit a night light as the installed lighting is so bright it wakes the other half up if switched on with the door open. Going in in the dark usually involves kicking something, which also wakes the other half up.

Yup, you could use anything though that kept its shape, even a bit of foam in a cushion cover (not slippery material though as it won't stay put) or a cut down car sun screen, I just had the material spare already so used it.

If you've got one of those self inflating seat mats that might fit, just have mooch round to see if you have anything suitable which you could use.

Found some foam backed Radiator reflecting stuff. It won't win any Blue Peter badges but it is easy to put in at night and take out when extra ventilation is required

I can't speak for any other MH ... maybe some of them have extractor fans, or loos with more robust doors?
