Cable runs into heating duct by the side of the Consumer Unit

Then through the double floor alongside the blown air heating duct. I did consider routing the cable via the cover for the fuel tank but decided against it.

Then up through the floor via the side trim behind the passenger seat

Then through the plastic trim towards the passenger footwell. I had to remove the side trim from the passenger seat to access one of the screws holding the footwell trim in place and also the trim over the front wheel arch near where the passengers left foot would be.

Then through the footwell and into the battery compartment, via the channels already used by other cables.
I haven't had to drill any holes, just remove the trims held in place via Phillips screws. Just needed a Phillips screwdriver and a flat head screwdriver (to remove the screw caps/covers and the battery compartment cover). It took me around 30 mins in total, so quite an easy job. Of course the actual install of the B2B will take me longer.

Before I replace all the trims I will run an additional cable for a Vanbitz battery master.

Can anyone think of any other cables I might want to run from the vehicle battery to the leisure battery area, before I replace all the trims?

Thanks

Does it need a cable for battery temperature ?
I will confirm before putting it all back together, but from what I understand if it's needed, it only goes to the leisure battery.

Do I need to run a negative cable between the vehicle battery and the leisure battery or is a chassis connection satisfactory for the negative connections?

Or you could have connected it to the positive from the engine battery on the base of the Nordelectrica charging unit. There's also a good common earth there as well.

How about a direct 12v feed to a secreted Tracker in amongst all that trim Dave, if not got one fitted already? ;)

Re the negative cable, on both the Hymer and Flair, I ran a negative feed from the nearest battery to the B2B, as they were shorter cable runs than to the chassis.

HTH,

Jock. :)

The 2 batteries, van and leisure are connected anyway, so just use the nearest

HTH,
It certainly does. Didn't think of a tracker feed !!

Re the neg - just one connection to the nearest battery would work out very easy. I just wondered if there is any real need to take it back to the vehicle battery, when a chassis connection would (?) achieve the same thing.

Thanks

no need at all

I would definitely link leisure and cab battery negatives to improve current flow.
