Still trying to sort solar for my camper, liked the look of cigs panels but quite expensive for 2 120w panels then I came across 95w panels at Bimble solar. High voltage low amps so assuming with victron mppt would bring down voltage increase amps!
I’ve given up the idea of putting a fixed frame panel on the pop top due to weight and height so it’ll be flexible . 70BB3D64-066F-46D7-A468-674ECE99D72E.pngA9EF1F1C-52F7-4AB3-A316-DD5AC286D6E6.png

I think you are right about them being expensive and I have not managed to read anything that convinced me that they were/are any better, re the voltage just look for maximum voltage figure on the controller and then as long as you are in that range it will just convert the panel volts to suit the battery and the amps will change pro rata W=VA.

That’s what I thought, midsummer’s cigs panels have 5 year guarantee as he said good quality and due to there composition better on a black roof which mine is as I am concerned about panels getting to hot.
Also just a not Mudsummer also said higher voltage panels generally better quality.
I should have sorted this all out months ago now I have a few weeks off they are all closed for Christmas.

I don't think the panels will get any hotter than the roof does now if it's black.

Hot panels just reduce the power output, they work better the cooler they are.
In the right conditions a panel could produce more power in the winter than the summer.
