Just took my carthago on a 2021 plate for a mot they said my 3rd brake light had a couple of bulbs out.
Has anyone changed one or has any info on where to get one from.

It will probably be an LED rather than a conventional bulb and so built in rather than replaceable. All things can be fixed but would probably need the whole assembly removed for access, then try and get at the LED. This will be a solder job.

Give Apple campers a ring.
They are in Wellington, Somerset.

When my identical high level light got an advisory last year, I saw and found mine there and yours looks identical to our Pilote.

I'll post a photo of our's tomorrow. (Bit dark right now)

Haha!

That was my intention.
I was visiting Apple to have a small job done and it was my intention to do it myself.
I took it off the display, put it on the counter and said words to the effect, "I'll have that as well"

Short time later job done, INCLUDING THE LIGHT!!!

It would have been a DIY job though. From memory, it comes with a rubber/plastic gasket.

It's a Hella part and the receipt shows it as Part No. 2900.

I've had the same problem in the past. They look like LEDs but they aren't. They are small capsule bulbs like the ones that go in dashboard lights. If you take the light off, the back will come off it (two screws) and you'll see the bulbs slotted in between two wire rails, one for positive and one for negative.

The problem is that water gets in and corrodes the wire rails and bulb connections. I have a spare light fitting which I pulled to bits, cleaned up and put a new set of bulbs in... a fiddly job but the bulbs are pennies.

Interesting I thought they were leds and would have to renew the whole unit.
I will try to remove the cover and have a look before ordering a complete unit

Put Hella 2900 into Google.
You may find that you don't get your pants pulled down like I did.
If you don't mind me asking, what did yours set you back I saw these on Ebay but they still seemed a lot of money for what they are.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325301786179?_skw=Hella+L.E.D.+3RD+BRAKE+LIGHT+HIGH+LEVEL&epid=1629440274&itmmeta=01JQ9NPY301JAGKP13JXPFNZ1T&hash=item4bbd7f5643:g:S9cAAOSwNYBi9OWt&itmprp=enc%3AAQAKAAAA4FkggFvd1GGDu0w3yXCmi1fahb1Kelu%2FV0zYvVI0BxmQ7c5jxr37H3N%2Bk9uGbovOfdHmzNihOUo3ecj%2FpddUNYQgpzF9M%2Fr4G2UiXfxYTKLT1jyPGL5tXXw8JfbCtP9lqHGC6b96OoBhfe2skB79hbFep4V4fzTN9tN%2BA7fFkrWk6XY3YXckbUJ2B%2B1EhdzI0aRmaO6xCgf2sGsO7%2FS9ZOmv%2F9lApf5GvFdCuC1qPw0f0Qw4kzzmU4azok8oGBxsIS5W6JvirHmX9Jp0UuGbMzf99KMwOjQMnkifsht%2FPsg7%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR9Lh27W6ZQ

They aren't the cheapest I've seen but its cheaper than I paid.
I didn't have time on my side and there was a dearth of them available.

As an aside, the wazzocks who did my MOT put it down as an advisory.
No drama's eh?

After I had it replaced, it came away with an advisory. Yes I could have argued but they're the
ones who have lost my business going forward.
