I've never liked the look of those twist-on wire cap connectors, it wouldn't take much to dislodge a live wire I'm sure.

The yellow coloured ones are much safer in my opinion

Owner lives opposite beach, doesn't want sand in the pigtails so puts them in a polythene bag but ...................

When I bought the RV (two vans previous to the current one) I noticed that there was some kind of plastic bag in the engine compartment and I wasn’t sure what it was for, and I know I should have asked, but I didn’t.

On the way home from buying it we went through some torrential rain, and stopped for the night at Taste of Perthshire along with a couple of other vans.

In the middle of the night we were awoken by the the sound of someone continuously sounding their horn. Eventually we realised that it was our horn. On investigation, I saw that the plastic bag contained a relay, and was full of water. I ripped out one of the wires going into the plastic bag and the noise stopped.

When we got home I studied the wiring and saw that a previous owner had installed air horns and added a second relay (putting it in a bag) despite the fact that there was already a relay in the circuit. I removed the relay and its plastic bag.

I thinks it's just somewhwere to keep Goldfish won at the fair

That's just downright stupid:Eeek:
Fancy not sealing the conduit as it enters the back box
Not to mention those sharp corners :doh:imagine slipping in the shower and catching yourself on the box

Those tails are fine the green wire is earth so no danger there

Hi security window

Look at the sealant in that corner - I can see a gap - that shower is going to leak into the floor below.

Also, Abdul's cap need straightening.

That reminds me of a job i was asked to do in sorting some timber flooring out.
It was in a hall way and a steel had been put in the support the floor.
It was sticking up above the floor line by about 40mm.
I was asked what could be done about it.
I suggested getting some decent builders in and drop it to the correct height.

The client did suggest i built a ramp over the top of it :rolleyes::)
I declined the work :)

Abdul is the worst kind of tradesman.

When he was fitting the power point in the shower why on earth didn't he fit a Shaver point at the same time ?

A dry shave while showering would certainly have enhanced the showering experience and perhaps brought a glowing touch of colour to your cheeks .......

When I stopped

One place I stayed in Kenya was advertising hot showers. These were proper mud hut style places to stay cheaply overnight.

When in the shower I noticed the live wire coming out of the wall, along the shower and into the showerhead.

It took about a second to realise that they’d fitted kettle elements in the shower heads and running water over them :)

On the 7th of this month i had a new combi boiler fitted. When they did the survey before fitting they decided to move the thermostatic radiator valve from hall to bathroom and leave hall radiator open. When they had finished and left i noticed they had filled tr v head with sealant and stuck it on bathroom radiator valve. Have now been back and done job properly with new valve. mala1951
