We have had 5 Motorhomes all with Dometic fridges, ages of vans ranging from 1991 to 2014. All the fridges worked in the road outside our house, which has a very, very slight slope, looking at the road you would think it was level. Just had a new fridge fitted in our current van, a Thetford N4000 series. This fridge will not work outside our house without the use of levellers. This Thetford fridge seems to be very sensitive to slope compared to all the Dometic fridges. Has anyone else had this issue with Thetford 3 way fridges? The vents at the back still get warm, so still using gas or electric but the fridge won’t cool.

Do you know what the manual says regarding permissible slope?

We have a bit of a slope on our drive and the Thetford fridge works fine on 240v not sure it would work as well on gas.
