Thetford CK13000 Oven Problem (1 Viewer)

Took the van away this weekend to WEM for Special Kids UK Fest and when I tried to use the oven the bl***y thing wouldn't stay alight. I think the thermocouple has had it so wonder if any of you Funsters have replaced yours and how easy/difficult it was to do.

Two weeks ago we had to replace the pcb for the fridge and now this, just hoping that we don't get a third thing going wrong in a row!

Just thought I would give you an update on this problem with the oven not staying lit.

Before going down the route of buying a new thermocouple we had a try at a couple of things. First I gave the thermocouple clean with an abrasive pad just incase it was dirty, well that didn't work. The final thing I tried was to remove the oven control knob and then stuck a small piece of matchstick in the hole and put the knob back on and et voila we have a fully functioning oven again so if you are having problems with your oven give it a try.
