Has anybody changed the rubber seal.
Followed the instructions to use the door to turn the opening and one of the runners for the door has snapped off. Cant shift it seems jammed solid. Any ideas?

Does this help…

You may have to use a small chisel or flat screw driver to create a point on the edge where with a hammer you can rotate the mechanism to dislodge it. If the guide for the top plate has broken off, I'd recommend a replacement mechanism, you could glue it, but it could break again when in place and become jammed.:(

So knock it around with a flat chisel. I have sprayed it with silicone to see if that eases it will have another go tomorrow.

A bit late now, but a useful tip was to use a length of flat timber rather than the flap as the opening tool. Best to order a refresh kit now, the broken one could still be used as a spare by swapping over the opener mechanism, this would also mean it was opened frequently.
Mike.

Its only approx 50 mm of one of the runners think it will still seal ok. I was only changing the seal because it leaked whilst dragging it to the dump in France. It has stopped leaking now i presume it had dried out in the heat.
