Thetford c260 toilet filters

Why are Thetford c260 toilet filters so expensive.
Does any one do copies if not then there is a business opportunity for some one.
Cheapest I have found is £20. At Brownhills and I can get 20% off but carriage is £5+
And petrol to collect is £15.

I have dismantled and refilled an old thetford filter with charcoal pellets to see if it works as new - yet to test - try an Ebay Search for ACTIVATED CARBON - CHARCOAL FILTER MEDIA - TANK PURIFIER 50G-2KG

Never replaced one in the 7 years we had the previous van with that system fitted.

How much is 200 grams is it enough?

The answer to my own question is 200grams is enough to do twice.
