Friends have just got a '14 plate Bailey Autograph. At the Chester rally, their toilet stopped flushing. We checked the 5 amp fuse at the distribution unit and this was ok. Checked that we were getting 12 volts at the supply connector in the cassette bay and then moved on to the push button on top of the cistern/flush tank. I peeled back the foil cover and prized out the circuit board which looked fine and was getting 12 volts at the push on connector. Next we unscrewed the access panel and withdrew the flush pump and manually rotated the impellor which seemed ok. I got a couple of jumper wires and took the feed from the edge connector to the pump and it worked fine. The edge connectors have 6 wires on them, 2 are the supply in, 2 are the feed to the pump and 2 disappear down into the toilet to who knows what (level switch, solenoid) ? I was wondering if the circuit board/ push button was faulty, or whatever's at the end of the two spare wires is having a detrimental effect. I've included a pic of the circuit board, looks complicated for what should just be an on/off switch, excluding whatever's at the end of the other two wires ?

That looks waaaaay too complicated for a basically simple on/off push switch. :Eeek:

I would suspect that one of the edge conectors is not making good contact. But hey, what do I know.

I’ve never needed to play with my system, but a thought was that the two wires that disappear could go to fan??

As I say just a thought.

We've bit the bullet and ordered a new circuit board. If that doesn't cure it, I'll just solder the pump wires to a push button switch on a piece of veroboard and ignore the two spare wires.

have had to change a couple of those boards now when they failed

just had a similar problem and all it was .was corrosion on the fuse holder ,power was not getting through the fuse, ( just a thought)

Just an update as I know Funsters appreciate a happy ending, a new circuit board sorted out the problem but we're still in the dark as to why it failed.

We have a 2015 Bailey Autograph with separate flush tank- the pink stuff you can put in the flush is notorious for clogging the pump and I’m sure the other wires give you the warnings for filling toilet and emptying flush tank?

It has the fan control and timer on it and a LED to tell you the fan is on in case you are deaf. Technical overkill, think yourself lucky it hasn't got the compulsory microprocessor that everything has to have these days. :giggle:

The pink stuff as you call it is a waste of money and storage space in my eyes

Hi, my Thetford C260 flush has stopped working. Lifted switch I have 12 volts supply at board ,but the board does look in a poor way whilst looking & checking pump ( which is not seized ) a wire has broken from the four way connector that clips on to the board and cannot see/work out how to sort . Is it possible to buy these connectors only ( do not want to buy/ fit full harness )
Cheers Mitchell.

Hi Mitchell2, looks like you might need to buy something like the complete wiring harness?
