First time out on the road and our oven won’t stay lit. It ignites no problem and remains lit whilst holding in the push button, but goes out immediately when letting out the push. Have tried several times even holding in for 20 to 30 seconds. All other gas hobs working OK. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be?

Thanks

Rob

Is it a new van? If so try removing the knob and pack a small amount of cardboard or paper into the hole in the knob to pack it out ( I do mean a small amount) if it's not new and just stopped working is the burner lighting all the way across?

Not that I am advising you to do this but the thermocouple that sits near the flame at the back of the oven can be teased closer towards the flame when the oven is off and cold.
I have done this on several ovens with the same fault. If this doesn't cure the problem it is a classic thermocouple fault.
Take it to a dealer is the best advice that I can give you.

Sounds like there is something wrong with the thermocouple. Check to see the burner you are trying to light has a thermocouple connected and that the flame is actually heating the end of it.
