Which van and what year? Thanks for the comments I agree and it have to be made to measure or off the peg
We store ours in a plastic box. If it’s been raining and the cover is wet, I just roll it up and put it straight into the box. Next stop, out it comes onto the screen, then wipe out the storage box. It’s more efficient on the outside.
It might be ”better” on the inside if you don’t want to travel with a wet set of insulation when it is raining, or if you are wild camping and might need to move on quickly without having to leave the vehicle. We have both internal and external and choose whichever most suits the circumstances.
In winter this is almost without exception, the external set!

Don't bother. Just get a Karcher windscreen vac. Cheaper, easier to store, no faffing to set up every night, doesn't limit a quick getaway. What's not to like?Is it better ,more efficient to have the blanket on the outside of the windscreen than on the inside your thoughts please
Pretty much everything with those crappy things!Don't bother. Just get a Karcher windscreen vac. Cheaper, easier to store, no faffing to set up every night, doesn't limit a quick getaway. What's not to like?
