Is it better ,more efficient to have the blanket on the outside of the windscreen than on the inside your thoughts please

Definitely outside

Thanks for the comments I agree and it have to be made to measure or off the peg

It’s more efficient on the outside.

It might be ”better” on the inside if you don’t want to travel with a wet set of insulation when it is raining, or if you are wild camping and might need to move on quickly without having to leave the vehicle. We have both internal and external and choose whichever most suits the circumstances.

In winter this is almost without exception, the external set!

Inside ones are better than nothing if you might need to drive off without exiting your motorhome (e.g. on aires or wildcamping) but exterior ones are better at keeping inside warm (or cool in hot weather) & for much less condensation. Here are the most popular options:
The original (most expensive) Silverscreens http://www.silverscreens.co.uk/
Other popular options are Taylormade https://taylormade-covers.co.uk/ or Minster Polar http://www.minsterproducts.co.uk/Polar.htm (we have these as good price for quality product)
Rainbow Screens https://rainbowscreens.co.uk/ which can be in many colours & have logos added but an expensive option.

If you have an A class then Minster Polar can make these to order (not sure if the others still do) if they don't already have the template for your model but standard Ducato, Relay & Boxer screen covers will be stocked by them all & having tried them all over the years can confirm that all the above are good.

I have inside ones and the cups are useless at holding them up. The sun visors do a good job with the front screen but the side windows often fall down.

Any better removable fixing - velcro in my experience dosent stick too well to glass or perhaps I'm buying cheap stuff!

We store ours in a plastic box. If it’s been raining and the cover is wet, I just roll it up and put it straight into the box. Next stop, out it comes onto the screen, then wipe out the storage box. (y)

I agree with all the above, we have Silver Screens and they are brilliant,,but it does come down to budget as these things aren’t cheap,,,but what is on a motorhome?😁

Don't bother. Just get a Karcher windscreen vac. Cheaper, easier to store, no faffing to set up every night, doesn't limit a quick getaway. What's not to like?

I have one for home,,it’s as much use as a chocolate teapot for me,,,👍

You two obviously don't have the knack. It's a doddle. 🤣

Buy a fitted one for outside and make a bubble wrap one for inside
