I am of course referring to our motorhomes being released from captivity on 12th April, not the start of red grouse shooting on 12th August.

Tomorrow we set off for a booked CL not too far from home. Thereafter we have further bookings that take us from Dorset to Northumberland. Today feels like the last day of term with a long break to look forward to. Adding a few miles to our underused second home with wheels feels long overdue.

Got the gas company coming to dig our drive up and lay a new gas pipe on 13th.......going nowhere. (y)

Not going until Friday. CAMC Crossways in Dorset. Couldn't even be bothered to phone up lots of CS/CLs and fell for the convenience of online booking.

I'm going to sit at home and watch the live traffic cams on the M4/M5.
If you enjoy traffic cams go for it. Making a short hop on local A roads will keep me away from the motorway hotspots.

A shame, hope you get away soon.

I had my motorhome in storage there until a couple of years ago. Nice spot, with deer wandering around the site. One warden made friends with a doe and her youngster, they called at the office for treats.

Got Funsters arriving here.
I hope to include your site on a future trip. Perhaps later in the year when the acers are at their best in The National Arboretum, just up the road at Westonbirt.

Look forward to meeting you, Westonbirt Arboretum is very popular and as you say just up the road from here, plenty of nice walks and pubs nearby too.

Scotland still to reopen, but no matter; at present, the snow is blowing across Burntisland Links just about horizontally. We normally have a sea view from our wee flat, but just we cannot see it, doesn't mean it's not still there! (y)

This is taken from the sea in more normal times. Our wee flat is the one without the dormer windows, almost directly above 'White Van' man!

Just near Peterborough, about a 4 hour drive for me but looks nice.
Adults only has its own cafe that opens evenings also plus a few pubs down in the local village and plenty of walking trails around.
