Nothing to do with ramps or hydraulic levels but I realise that this way of life does bring people of different ages and wealth together . Yesterday we were in our overflow Stellplatz , which was fine , along side motorhomes 4 times the price of ours and some 1/4 of the price . Same views , same cleaning routines and pretty much all the same facilities .

Just an observation

We have always shared that same view.

What works for us is what matters. Those who want, and can afford, a big motorhome, good on them. Those who want a smaller unit or can only only afford an older one still see the same views.

We have had small ones, old ones and middle sized ones but have never felt the need for very large ones, although we are quite happy to admire other people’s ones.

It’s a great way of life, whatever.

We are possibly in the "4 times the price" bracket but before we bought it my wife asked "will we have any better holidays?" the simple answer was NO ;) well she knew that already really but we still went ahead and bought it.

I totally agree that it is what works for you.

We have a large van as we full-time and we need the space. I am 6'3 so height and size of showers come in to play as does the requirement not to have to make beds every night. It is not always about the money, it is what suits your needs.

We really do admire the thought put into small vans, how compact and functional they are and they way they look. I am sure if we were not full-timers we would have something smaller.

It's the memories you make in and with your van that count, not the age, size or cost :giggle:
