:clap2: Well done to the town. £5 parking for Motorhome for the night. Most people out in town eating and drinking. Nearly 30 vans here last night it felt very continental very good atmosphere and a big positive for the town
I for one will e mail council in the morning thanking them for forward thinking. 👍

This week we visited Powys and stayed over on one of their car parks.
Made a point of visiting their website and completed a compliment from to give some feedback. Think it may be the only way to encourage these guys. (y)

Hats of to the more forward thinking councils, let's hope that users respect what's on offer and font spoil for others.

Very clean here thankfully. You can also have 3 nights here. I think powys have one night rule but better than nothing
I wonder how much these vans have spent in town?
Plenty returned to the van with take away at least 👍

Machynleth where we stayed is not a big place. One of the pubs even closed at 6pm !
We visited another pub for a few drinks and then the local chippy so a few quid spent, plus local coffee shop next morning. Weekly market on a Wednesday, so can see a Tuesday night trip coming on during the winter.

We had a day trip to Skipton yesterday and noticed 6 or 7 parked up during the day. I thought the sign said motorhomes had to park in the green bays?

The chippy (Hennighan's Top Shop) is owned by Hil's nephew and has won Best in Britain more than once.

How can you park in the green bays if there is already a motorhome parked there? If the green bays are full when you arrive you can use other bays.

I recall that being mentioned before we went (y)
They were lovely..

That sounds excellent - assume you pay the daily rate & then the overnight charge. Thanks for posting this

Yes you do. I assume if you take up 2 bays you pay for 2. But not that expensive really and perfect for town
