Next problem! Are these vehicles designed to fall apart after five years?

We have the above monitor linked to our reversing camera and clipped to a conventional rear-view mirror. It's a bit primitive, but that's how it came. The monitor fixes to the mirror with two fixed top brackets, and two spring-loaded bottom brackets. The rubber grips on the brackets have disintegrated and we now keep it in place with hair bands. Can we buy replacement grips anywhere?
 
Probably not. There may be alternatives in car shops, motorcycle shops etc but that will take some hunting.

If you can ID the make give them a ring they may send you a couple.

What about the sugru ? , i think there is one that stays flexible instead of setting hard now
 
Cable tie around each pair of grip legs behind mirror?
