Just a reminder that if you have any Tesco vouchers (not deals vouchers) that you choose only to get once a year, a lot will be expiring at the end of this month so give Tesco a ring and ask them to change them back to points and put them back in your 'kitty' - I did it the other day as I had over £100 worth of (face value) vouchers but haven't been able to use them and don't know when we will (I was saving them for a ferry to Ireland).

I usually convert each into the minimum possible deal voucher to go as part-payment for a crossword mag subscription for my Mum (unless I need a bit more to make up a shortfall then I do whatever is required on the last voucher), then the remaining value of each voucher is converted into points and goes back into the kitty for 2 years. I choose not to do it for this year though as my Mum complained about the crossword magazines only having 'normal' crosswords in (no cryptic) despite her getting them for a few years and liking them previously  so chose former instead.

Didn’t know you could choose to get them once a year, we get ours every month. Convert a few to meals out codes just before they expire. We’ve about £200 worth (face value) so might do tunnel crossing next year.

Yes it is a new process for channel tickets which reminded me to check the tunnel and we saw they were taking bookings for next summer so thought, go for it and booked which is even quicker than the old 20 minute wait for the code - now virtually instantaneous. Time enough to get my head round best option for dog passport etc :)

I didn’t know they’d convert them back to points. Thanks for that. I get mine quarterly so it doesn’t often happen that they nearly run out but I occasionally have to use them up and end up spending them on ordinary shopping and feel cheated!

After reading this blog. I checked our vouchers. We were going to lose some at the end of November. If you open the Tesco app you can transfer them to partners ie Eurotunnel, which I did and they were then valid until May 2022. I then booked a crossing next September. Result !
Worth the MHF subscription alone.

Thanks for this. I did just this and retain all my vouchers.

We got an email from Tesco to tell us we had vouchers expiring within the next 3 months. I changed the vouchers expiring end of this month a couple of weeks ago for Eurotunnel voucher but when I checked I'd missed one which is expiring so will call tomorrow to see if I can get them turned back into points.

OH TinaL phones up Tesco in Sept/early Nov each year and somehow changes our points into Xmas Saver Club (or similar name)vouchers to preserve their value.
Then after Xmas she gets them turned back into points...somehow, I would ask her but might get a slap as she is fast asleep at this time, but I do remember mentioning this as option to preserve your points before expiry this time last year on a similar thread.
A phone call to Tesco to discuss your options may well be the answer.(y)

Does this mean that the vouchers will expire at Christmas?
No, it just means that instead of getting your Tesco vouchers every 3 months throughout the year they are all kept in your 'kitty' as points and then converted to Tesco vouchers in the autumn (October if I recall) so that you have them to use for your Christmas shopping etc, hence the name, once issues they still have 2 years and 1 month until they expire.

Yes I knew someone had mentioned it previously but couldn't for the life of me think who! :giggle:

I had to ring Clubcard as I'd mysteriously got a £2.50 voucher through for another account which I didn't know about so rang to see what it was and it turned out to be for my Tesco credit card which I'd earned points on (hence the voucher) which for some reason had been set up as a separate Clubcard account. I therefore asked for it to be added to my existing account so everything is in one 'kitty' (you can't use vouchers from different accounts for buying a single 'deal', it has to be from the same account). Once that was done I asked about getting the expiring vouchers extended and the lady happily did so.
