it looks like a scam to me, only scams would say "Dear Customer"and not use a name and we all know (or should know) never open a link in a text / email unless you are completely sure it is genuine

Where it’s an email, always hover over the senders email address with your cursor to see if it’s really a dodgy address.

Never ever reply to any message sent to you unless you know that person, always check reply address, never click a link with in that message, always go though the official web site, because if it's official you will find it there, or phone them from a number you know is them, be safe.

Ditch Hotmail, switch to Gmail and you won't get emails like this again, or at worst one every year or so. Gmail's spam filters stop them ever reaching you.

I have both. Your correct, Gmail is much better at filtering spam. I've used the Hotmail address for years for business so have hundreds of emails filed in folders. Hard to completely move away then.

Tesco.com looks a bit dodgy to me, but if you can hover your curser over the email address and see it it looks ok, don't think it will be, Tesco .com should be Tesco.co.uk most .com are normally USA addresses

I have both. Your correct, Gmail is much better at filtering spam. I've used the Hotmail address for years for business so have hundreds of emails filed in folders. Hard to completely move away then.

You can set up Hotmail so it forwards incoming email to your Gmail address but of course if you reply it will be from Gmail which might confuse the sender.

Be careful even with the hovering thing.
They'll sometimes use a number 0 in place of a letter O, so the can have an address that looks right but is actually something else.
There's a royal mail scam, where the scammers address had number 1 where the letter L was in royal mail..that made it look right when glancing at it.
