Iveco Daily
Hello everyone, I've got a question regarding taxing a second-hand Iveco Daily I've just bought.

I'm collecting the van from Kent and driving it to Todmorden on day insurance cover. My understanding is that the van will need to be taxed immediately before I can drive it home. Is it the case that I pay the DVLA the £325 annual road tax at the point of sale or can it wait until after I've got the van home?

Any advice is much appreciated.

A Woosh bang
When I purchased my present van, I picked it up on the last day of the month.. I could have left it for another day at the dealer and taxed on the 1st of the month.. but too impatient to get it home, so lost a full months tax ...

Yes, immediately and the 'tax' will run from the beginning of the month.
I should have said ' immediately before you take it on the Kings highway '
no need to tax it at time of purchase, only before you drive it.
