Having trouble opening my fresh water & grey water plastic drainage taps they are very stiff i have tried WD40 but no easier, any tips please.

Pour a kettle of boiling water over them, or ................HAMMER!

Hmmm. I'd forget the hammer if I were you, these things break far too easily.

Hot water then GENTLY ease them to and fro until free; washing up liquid is a good lubricant in this case. Then once free treat them to a touch of silicone spray.

Due to the drain taps being at low level they pick up fine road grit and over time it somehow gets imbedded in the plastic faces of the valve and locks them up. With some valves it’s possible to strip them down and clean - otherwise most drain taps are screwed with a BSP thread and can be purchased very cheaply if you search the internet. Be mindful that 1/2” BSP etc does not measure 1/2” and the same for larger sizes just to confuse matters.

If you intend to change it go for one of these of appropriate size. They don't seize and appear to last forever. And require little effort to operate.
