Just called into our local dealer today for a look around and they told us Swift are re-naming the Swift Bessacarr range Swift Kon-Tiki Sport for 2020...they are also bringing out a budget range below the Escape called the Swift Edge...will have to wait a couple more months for the official launches to see if this is correct...

Why do the big companies keep "consolidating" their model names? You still get the same choices, just with "different" names, and it's not only Swift who do it! 'Twas only this year that they dropped the Bolero range and called it Bessacarr, retaining Kon-Tiki for their big luxury models. I'm sure it doesn't make the slightest difference to most buyers, just another ploy for the marketeers to justify their existence and spend more money - which just gets passed on to the consumer. I'll take a bet that Edge are no less money than last years Escape models, budget or not!
