SV Tech uprate

I might just give VWE a call in the new year. I know its only a potential 150kgs extra, but for the sake of a few bob, 150kgs still worth having in your back pocket
They don't answer the phone.

I just filled out the enquiry form on the website with all the required information, emailed it in and had a detailed reply of what was possible within 48 hours.

I got that too but after getting all the upgrades done he then wanted pictures of the suspension and proof from the installer that it could go to 4800kg, as far as i was concerned that was his job to calculate that which he had already said it could. I ended up going to SV Tech, the guy is a cowboy.

I have been told that Dee at VWE does not have access to all the technical data that SVTech do.
For example VWE will not recognise the uprated front springs fitted to my van by my installer (Gliderite) whereas SVTech will. They are MAD springs and accompany the MAD semi air fitted by Gliderite, who did a wonderful job.

I was told to just speak to Gareth at SVTech and he has all the necessary specifications and will liaise with Gliderite if necessary.

I think that VWE can be cheaper as they can only do the straight forward stuff. If it is at all unusual or needs “expertise” you have to use SVTech.

I now need to do it, I keep forgetting!
All the work has been done I just need the paperwork for DVLA! I have put it off for over 12 months so far!

Has SV Tech stopped trading? I put a request in over a month ago and nothing, no reply?

Have you rung them?
Emails sometimes get missed & snail mail often gets lost.

Have you tried Van Weight Engineering [VWE] Same product and services, just normally more economical.
Mike.

No need to call VWE, simply complete the enquiry form, answer any additional questions that Dee may email you about - and provide any photos requested (if any) - and he’ll advise what can be achieved with and without any modifications.

We charge unless you decide to take it forward.

SV sorted out my wish to downplate. Follow the process that SV laid down because the volume of work, and it should work. For example SV said to me about by my enquiry, "It is vital that you use the email link". Mine concluded on 30 May when SV met their timescale, and so did the DVLA its timescale. Overall. it was easy and the paperwork flowed easily.

My suggestion is that you deal with SV by email, and ensure nothing goes into your junk/spam.

I have used SVTECH for the second time and can state the service was within the stated timescale.
Where credit is due also DVLA returned my new V5 within 14 days....👍

Cheers🍻
