When giving the van a clean today, before our next trip, some trim surrounding the water inspection hatch broke off when using the vacuum. The trim is very brittle but I have both of the pieces broken off. I dug out my expensive Hafixs super adhesive, that is not supposed to dry out for years only to find it had, off course, dried out and is totally unusable.
I’m thinking of carrying some general adhesive for such accidents and wonder what, people who know about adhesives, recommend. I was thinking that, with regards to the broken plastic trim, given that it will be walked over frequently and is brittle, a silicone type flexible adhesive would be good but don’t know which one to get or indeed, whether that is the best solution. I’m fed up of buying super glues that don’t stay usable for more than a day once the tube/bottle has been opened even if you wipe off the nozzle after use, stand it upright in the fridge, etc etc. Thanks in advance.

There are so many different glue's for different applications you almost need to take a degree in it.
Recently Gorilla glue seem to make a good selection.
For that trim buy their super glue - nozzle and brush. Should be about a fiver
