So have just realised/found out that our strikeback sim does no longer send messages to my phone while abroad.
Found this out as I can only assume that my battery had a power drop which inadvertently immobilised the MH. Unable to start the engine had me scratching my brain for ages. No message was received to inform me of the power drop. I now assume that sim is not set up for EU roaming post brexit.
First question how do I upgrade my sim to do this. Have been on to Vodafone who want to send a security message but the sim is in the van, can't read it.
Second point is now I have disarmed the strike back, van starts but I can not engage gear. "No gear available" message on the dash. Comformatic.
So is this linked to previous issue or a completely new problem. A local mechanic is due to visit tomorrow but any help in advance on either issue would be great.
Ps have travelled 2500 miles with no issues until now.

If you have not been paying the MetaTrak non starter fee yearly that’s probably the problem was your van already fitted with Strikeback when you bought it if so you will need to contact Vanbitz to register your ownership they will then be able to help you to get this problem sorted🤔
however as for the comformatic problem I wouldn’t think that’s anything to do with the alarm🤔

Strickback fitted when purchased yes and have it in my name at vanbitz. Have pay as you go sim in credit that works in UK just not abroad so assume not set up for roaming.
Wondering if gear problem related to power drop.

I'm sure Eddie will see the tag and be along shortly to help you.

The conformation issue is entirely separate and as suggested already proba power related

The sim should work fine abroad, have you checked the credit?

Yes plenty of credit, just not receiving any messages, have tried finding status etc. I can text MH but receive nothing back. No warning that it had armed its self.

When the power is disconnected it automagically arms when power is reinstated

The sim definitely was roaming originally, probably easier to buy a new roaming SIM card than argue with Vodafone

Thanks I did wonder the same. Daft question would the number be the same or need to program new number into alarm etc.

No, just send the commissioning text from your phone to the unit

No, I can’t remember the code, its in the instructio book or call the office Tuesday 👍🏻

Internet not needed, it's a phone sim that you contact via text
Yes, never really thought about it, but now you mention it, there have been incidents where people have had a poor signal, which is why I bought a fob.
