We were away on holiday in Norfolk three weeks ago and the Google Streetview car was around in Hingham.

We didn't see it go past our motor, but low and behold it has just turned up on the map!

It's the bronze Jag in the map link - https://tinyurl.com/2cyd7dn8

Now wondering if we'll also appear sometime? Anyone else been captured?

Just checked, I saw the camera car go past last week and gave it a wave. I’m on there, we live at a T junction the minor road has been updated but the main road image is at least 6 years old.

You might find it gets updated soon - and perhaps you'll be a star. ;)

We were only parked for about ten minutes, but had left the car and obviously didn't see the Google vehicle go past ours.

I've seen a couple of camera cars around here recently so thought I'd check out streetview - still over 12 years old down our busy B road:crying:

Thanks - had it four and a half years (was 12 months old when I got it). Remarkably cheap to run for a reasonably powerful car - provided it doesn't require any repairs. ;)

£20 pa to tax; up to 70 mpg on the motorway and I think I'm paying £179 pa to insure it.

Doesn't get used enough - only just ticked over 20k miles.

Actually thats weird as i just checked the view for the bottom of the road ...and im not in it ...they must edit out people as i was walking up the road when the car passed ... And there was a few other people around but the image doesn't show anyone

It takes a while as the car passed here at least 7 or 8 weeks ago and id checked it a few weeks after that and it hadn't been updated ...but it has now

Interesting, the image of our car was only taken on 22 August and it's already popped up on streetview.

Google streetview is at least 4 years out of date in our road as it shows our bungalow before we bought it. Aerial view more recent as it shows both our current vehicles. Bing aerial shows our driveway landscaping work in progress, that was done in June 2018

4 years that's new! Think our road should be in B&W.
Car on drive is 4 cars ago !! So looking at at least 8-10 years old. Still got a tax disc in window and they where abolished 2014.

I always thought faces and number plates were pixelated under Data Protection.

It's a lovely spot, cycled over there many times during lockdown and had coffee on those benches. Could almost believe you were abroad.

It's a pity the member map thingy doesn't work. It's not showing my browser location, or my 'From' location.

I get you in the middle of Norwich on Princes Street.

Weird. I'm showing 4 people in Norwich, for both Firefox and Chrome, and none of them are on Princes St. And I'm actually 15 miles away anyway, and I'm not shown there either. How are you doing that? I'm clicking 'Member map' at the top level of the Forums page.

Click on the posters avatar if the have a from ie. Norwich in your case, it switches to Google maps

Yeah, that's something different. If a member says they're from Crosby, and you go to the member's page and click on 'Crosby', then a new page opens up for Google maps, with a pin where Google thinks 'Crosby' is. For Norwich, Google pins at Princes St. If you've got your location as 'Cornwall', then it shows the whole of Cornwall.

The 'member map' is (was) different - it's meant to show you where all the members actually are. But it doesn't work. It does show you, but it doesn't show me.
