Strange sounds

[vantage fan]

Help - we’ve owned a 19 reg Vantage Neo motorhome since May. It’s a comfortmatic transmission. Occasionally when driving we get a strange ‘bong b-bong’ sound emananating from the dash. It doesn’t occur with any regularity and since we’ve owned it it probably has only sounded a dozen times. The performance of the vehicle isn’t affected. Neither Fiat nor Vantage can offer any help. Any clues anybody???

I had that strange noise and traced it to the inbuilt satnav detecting fixed speed cameras. It only happened in two particular places around home on the dual carriageway ringroad.

As Riverbankannie says it could be the sat nav which sounds for hazards and speed checks even when not in use. Ours does this, I only knew what it was because it sounds in sync with the portable TomTom sat nav we use!

sadly bong bong form a comfortmatic gearbox is never good news. and can be eyewateringly expensive.

Need more info as when bong bong etc speeds. gears. terain. etc etc
