Hi
I have won a STERLING ProPower SB inverter that is faulty, it was a friends and he bought a replacement and gave it to me to fix or throw away.
It powers up and shows the battery voltage, but no AC output. Here is a video of the startup.
I have emailed Sterling but shipping back from France is now expensive, and although I haven't had a quote yet, i believe repairs are expensive.
I do have an electronics background although not with this type of electronics, I have looked inside and there is no obvious cause of the fault, but happy to have a go at fixing it if i could at least get more info or circuit diagram.
I have searched and the only thing I have found is a youtube video of sombody replacing the internal fuses after a wrong polarity connection. Which isnt much help.
I wondered if anyone here has any experience or tips.
Thanks in advance.
Dave
