All the gear, and no idea!
Can anyone tell me what I need to fit this double din cage in my Moho? I bought the curved double din adapter off flea bay but the cage doesn’t fit, so I’m trying to fit this double din cage in the hole left by a single din radio and a single din parcel shelf thingy. I’m guessing I need some kind of adapter plate, but it has to be the right one. The stereo going in is a Pioneer double din.

There are two didderent size double din cages, look on eBay and check the dimensions against you stereo and the aperture, I think it's the flat tags around the front of the cage that vary in size.

i did this recently and when i removed the single din and the other bin bit there were 2 plastic lugs either side preventing the DD cage going in . they needed to be carefully!!!! trimmed off

and do you have the correct facia

No I don’t think I do, I bought the fascia with the rounded top but as you know the bit you shave the lugs off (which I have done) is a one piece jobbie so the fascia I have is no good!?
The fascia supplies with the stereo is gonna leave a gap all the way round the unit, is there just a square surround I can buy a few mm wider all round?

Co-ax cable is the video feed from the camera it plugs into the Phono(RCA) socket labeled rev camera.

slightly off topic but
if it has Bluetooth for hands free phone you may have a lead to connect to handbrake. which is so that you cannot dial out unless the handbrake is applied. if that is the case, just connect the wire to an earth at the rear of the unit.

unless of course you want to restricted to when the " co pilot " can dial out. if you dont connect the wire to anything you will not be able to dial from the unit.

Yes it has BT so you say I can connect that wire to earth just double checking myself?
It’s been a while since I messed about with audio (prob the late 80’s MK2 escorts?)

The handbrake connection stops video playing when the handbrake is off. Just ground the wire, I connected mine to the back of the stereo case.

What is the model number
Lenny it’s a pioneer AVH-A3200DAB
my wiring for camera works ok on the monitor on dash
, but I would like it on the unit if poss, this is my wiring

Looks like you have been to messy play with my grandaughter.

Yes the Phono marked RC In the rear camera input socket.

You probably need one of these, ring Chris up and talk to him to make sure you get the right adaptor.

Spoke to Chris and he’s sending me a lead out today, not sure if it will solve my problems so I might have some more questions later on? Cheers

I cheated and had the dealer fit my double din Pioneer. However I know they had to change the Fiat single din fascia for a double din one. Standard Fiat part.

Right Lenny HB two questions for now, this is the adaptor cable from Chris

i know the 4 pin connects to camera lead, the female is a power earth lead, (Chris supplied a red/blk lead to plug into it for power to the camera) which colour do I put in the RC IN in the back of the stereo?
Also where is the easiest place to take the reverse input from (comfortmatic gearbox)?
Thanks Ady

Yellow is video, white is audio (if you have it).
I gave up trying to find the reverse lead in the fuse box and ran a wire to the rear light. On mine the rear light was connected with Mate ' lock connectors so I popped a pin and crimped the existing wire & my new wire into a new pin.

Thanks for the info guys, I was hoping there was a reverse wire under the gearstick, but hey ho, not that simple eh?? so now I’ve got to run a wire front to back for reverse input?? Bloody Italians??

no,
break into the power wire close to the rear of the van and run a spur to the reversing camera power supply. when you engage gear power to camera (y)

I put a switch on the dash from a live so I could put the rear camera on at any time

Ahh, I like your thinking, that would save having a second fixed camera at the back?
