Staggered by insurance quote (1 Viewer)

Taking delivery of my new Auto-Sleepers Kingham on Thursday so spent this evening getting insurance sorted. My last van was insured with Caravan Guard. Best they could do was £430 pa not bad. Then I tried Comfort as they get good feedback. Better at £391. CMHC came up with £450. The only one not including breakdown cover was Comfort, which as I will have Fiat Assist isn’t needed.
I thought I would try one more of the well known companies to see if I could get a bit lower and as I had just seen their ad in MMM I tried Shield. Put in all the same details as the other quotes. They offered me an annual fee of, wait for it £4427.16. I was so surprised I refilled the form. Guess what. I was offered an annual premium of £4427.16, or I could make it less painful by monthly instalments of £478.13. No thanks Shield

Thanks, I have. They were £480. Very reasonable in comparison to Shield
