Here's a few photos of my sumo springs.
Pilote 633 fiat ducato
Usual harsh ride on the ven so I fitted a set of sumo springs which I bought used on here.
It all looked good, van raised slightly more and a bit better on road.
About 6 months forward and about 3000 miles things got progressively worse than before

This morning I he'd a look at the van and noticed the sumos were fully compressed.
1st photos are van jacked up and sumos have stayed compressed.
I have now refitted the fiat bumpstops and the van feels a lot better.
Thinking extra leaf or arr assist may be next .
Cheers.steven.

I put air rears on my boxer...basic kit off eBay ,then got carried away and installed solenoid valves and 12v compressor £15ish and digital air pressure gauge ,result infinite adjustment of each side individually at the flick of a switch and a better ride(also helps leveling van on site and getting underneath

What’s your axle weight? Think they rated to 1200 kg

Worth checking.the van is only a 6.3m pcv so no massive weights or overhang.

Mines 6.3 too. Was there any scope for compression left in yours?

When fitted yes but now nothing now just a solid block with no give in it.
I thought they may have opened up a bit sitting all day but nothing.

Just a follow up.
Been this morning and got an extra leaf fitted.
Now clearance between the spring and bumpstops.about 40 miles done since and the van has totally changed, banging and crashing gone and less swaying.
Seems to be a good result.
1 hour for the job the be done.
Cost £300 but better results than the sumos.
Hopefully all lasts a good while.
So I think if your van is undersprung it would be worth considering speaking to a local leaf spring business before going the sumo or air assist way.
Cheers folks.
Steven.
