Of course, I knew that obviously. No real mushrooms were harmed in the making of this thread. . I presume it was leaking like a sieve?

Steady dripping for who know how long. Made worse by breakdown guy taking off and on to check fuel.
Explains the slimy wetness on nearside of engine bay (as opposed to the water tin off from windscreen that ports to a pipe in same location. Hopefully that explains the fluid near my brake hoses as diesel spatter . Find out soon as wiped dry and check in a few days. Spongy brakes are next on the list after immobiliser trickery.
