Hi all, my oven has just started going out when lit and releasing the knob. So to keep it lit i have stand there holding the knob in.

I'm presuming this means the thermocouple has expired. I see leisuretech do them for £15, does anybody have any experience of how easy they are to replace? Can it be done by any competent screwdriver wielding owner or is it specialist? I'm in southern Spain atm ao don't want to take the oven out etc.

Maybe a job best left to my return??

We had this problem, didn't need a new thermocouple, position had moved due to vibration repositioned by gas service person, fine ever since.
Oops that was the fridge, could be the same on an oven though.
