We have a Burstner nexxo T690G, which has a large garage suitable for bikes. Having previously experienced a blowout in France, we want to fit a spare wheel and tyre in the garage.

Has anyone done this? Any advice regarding fixing type and location (inner wall /outer wall) would be gratefully received!

I glued and screwed two retaining rings to the inner wall and stand the wheel up against it and strap it.

Interested. Hop someone that has mounted their wheel shares a picture or two.

Ours is on a home-made bracket in our garage - though A Lunar Roadstar 800 it is glued and screwed to the rear wall with a couple of dozen of screws then a LARGE threaded bar with a spinner to secure it - just looked got no pictures and I'm not going out to take any far too bloomin cold this is all I have

If it makes no real difference, mount to the inside wall. The spare wheel with tyre must be 20-30kg, so the closer to the rear axle, the better.
Our garage front wall consist of doors that open almost full width to access the water tank (between floors) and for some reason the cupboard under the bed which I've sealed so no solid fixings

Lyseo 690G
A piece of 2x1 screwed to the wall and a piece of 10mm threaded bar and a home made nut.
Although its so heavy I no longer carry it or the jack

Mine is bolted on the Bonnet, real Motorhomers style.....Actually being serious, mine is on the garage inner wall, on the Hymer standard fitting.......if I had to fit one for the first time like you, I would just carry a Spare Tyre the same as all four fitted..no way would I want to change a MH wheel again, leave it to the experts.

I got fed up with the room the spare took up in the garage. So i bought a spare wheel carrier and made a bracket to fit underneath

Mine is strapped to the rear bulkhead, not an option to secure it to front bulkhead. Hymer DL
