Got to admit, Altea is one cramped little town. Lovely but tiny.

Normally I take the motorway to get around Altea.
Coming back to Germany last month, I missed the motorway entrance, while distracted, and was forced to sit through (what felt like) 20 red lights and lots of traffic.

Surely you can just nick the water from a garage, and dump in the sea or the edge of a car park in the scrub like everyone else?

No ,You can't do that, but with spanish pushing for places to dump and fill and having the same rights as a car regarding parking, unless these long staying folk pee them off.
Spain will be a cheap place to tour, without having to use campsites, until you need to do the washing. Bob.
