Travelling from Portsmouth tomorrow evening arriving Santander Saturday morning 8a.m.,12th February. I am looking for some reassurance that our understanding of the health control form is correct.

We registered our details today and received a link in an e mail with our FCS code and a long string of alpha numerics for the identifier. The message we get back when we try to follow the link is we cannot submit the form before 48 hours of arrival in Spain. Am I correct in thinking that if I submit the form tomorrow morning then we will be within 48 hours of arrival in Spain and it will then process our QR code. My understanding again is I need the QR code to board and subsequently to enter Spain.

Get to the terminal on the day of Dep. and ask the peeps in the terminal to do it for you.
They are very used to Funsters walking thru the door.
Give them a drink for doing it. I did.

Just try in the morning, it should work, just use the top one of the links in your email.
You will need the QR code to get past Brittany Ferries checkin and when in Spain you may not be asked for it, we were just waved through.

Thanks both - I had got it in my head that the form had to be submitted less than 48 hrs before departure but more than 24 hrs - then I read that it had to be done within 48 hrs of arrival in Spain. Got it sorted in my head now and hopefully we will get the QR code tomorrow morning before we depart for Portsmouth so we can have printed copy and the code on our phones. Always been a bit of a belt and braces sort of man!

Don’t panic, just have the relevant information ready such as passport numbers and where you are heading for in Spain. Some people have simply put Santander Port and the region that it’s in on the form. Also make sure that you use your name as it appears on your NHS QR form, my wife’s was different as the NHS insist on using her first name but I used her middle name on the Spanish form. While sat in the lanes waiting to board I just did a new one on the phone.

Agree with above , the lady at the BF terminal will help you , she stated we were not first old “codgers” who need help.

When we did ours we established that it's not 48 hours but 2 days before arrival in Spain. Sounds contractionary but we did them at 9am on the Monday morning for arrival in Spain on Wednesday afternoon at 2.30pm almost 54 hours before.
Hope that helps

Don't panic if the link does not work, it didn't last week. Just log in instead and it will take you through. As above name entered has to match vaccine certificate to compete, I always have a couple of attempts to get that right. I never bother trying to upload vaccine qr and just put other and take paper. I had mine checked at border but wife didn't.

Had big problems on Monday trying to get our two done. My one worked but good ladies did respond with QR code. went to Brittany office first thing on the Tuesday morning before checking in and the staff completed the form and received the QR code back immediately. Set sail on time. Arrived Santander just before 2pm checked emails and wife received QR code at 1700 on the Tuesday some 12 hours late. Had it not been for Brittany would have missed the boat.

Has anyone filled in the Spanish locator form since the need to show proof of having a booster vaccination? I would like to know if I have to give details of all three jabs or just the booster as completion of vaccinations. Also can I complete the form for families for just myself and wife or it better to do individual?

Have mislaid my booster card, do i need it do have the app.

You dont need the booster card but you will need the QR codes for the jabs from the NHS app, preferably printed out as that does make it easier at checkin but its not essential to print them off.
You can always write to the nhs and request the qr codes but they are only valid for a month, the app is much simpler.

You have to put in the date of your last vaccination if I remember correctly and it must match the QR code

Flew out to malaga on Friday did not load any qr code for vacination. They scanned qr for locator form, did ask to see proof, same in canaries 4 weeks ago.
