Lots now
The Spanish government have stated that travel this year will be relaxed over Christmas and the new year for the sole purpose of visting family only.
This does not allow for tourist activities.
They are trying to avoid an exodus to second homes from the larger city’s like Madrid.
This I think rules out any plans to enjoy a milder winter in our motorhome.
We are keeping an eye on the situation to see if this changes but we are not hopeful.

Whitchurch Shropshire and yes it raining 😄
Ah thats a bugger i thought you were still in Europe somewhere.

Although i heard the tunnel was apparently really busy the last few days due to brits escaping now they can leave again ...

There are other places south if you can get out.

Still nice and warm here in greece ....long may it continue

We had to come back into the uk as we needed to be in the country on the off chance we had some work over Christmas. The lockdown scuppered that.
we could get into France legally from the 15th dec if France COVID cases come down enough, it’s the onward part that’s got me stumped.

We made the decision a few weeks ago, not to head for the sun this winter, as there are too many uncertainties and rule changes going on, what with Covid and Brexit. It doesn't help either, when our leaders aren't sure themselves, as to what's what.

Winter warmers at home this year. ;)

Cheers,

Jock. :)

How about Gibraltar park by the Marina for about 12 Euros a night and very low covid area?

We ve wondered about Turkey but can't quite spare enough time this year. Still hope we will get to at least Spain late Jan, people seem to be getting there OK, although you are taking your chances with local lockdowns, its got to be better than a dark wet Shropshire winter

Référence transiting France I have posted our figures for last two days on the other thread . We need to be under 5000 and under 3000 in ICU and numbers were going down but last 2 days have risen to :-(

I will not post any more figures as if not as people want to hear they are ignored . Will just be sad for me and other residents and citizens who it affects daily not just their jollies to the sun .

We still have free campers in Javea and Moraira of different nationalities including English, but they will probably spoil it for everyone else as most sites are only half full if that, and some are within spitting distance of them. 🙄 Bob.

I find your posting of information as the French see it very useful. But I do think you should consider that there might be businesses en route and at the destinations who are really missing their winter income and would welcome the return of at least some tourists.

IMHO its entirely possible to have a 'safe' holiday in a motorhome and while we may not be dining out in the evening at the moment we would certainly be at some pavement cafes in the daytime and making various other purchases.

I had already posted those figures for the proceeding 5 days, going down from 16,000 to 4,000 and you were good enough to post the last 2 days showing it rising on the same post/thread...

I'm still hopefully the figures will reduce enough as there still 12 days left until the 15th...
Figures tend to go up in every country on Mon/Tues due to lag in weekend counting, just look back over the months,it clearly shows on the Graphs...
Hopefully Frances figures will follow that trend and the Lockdown will be lifted for All our Benefits...Jollies or Not...

Not sure what you mean by “free campers” .. have you recommendations for camp sites in Javea / Moraira? Keen to come when we can ..

We always used Camping Javea, we had 10 winters there, before living here, we still visit both sites visiting friends, but Camping Naranjal never did it for us. 🙂

The site in Morìara has lots of shade and some very low trees. 😲
Free campers don't use campsites often, 😉 like us. 😁 Bob.
