Right guys have fitted the panel and the mppt, wiring is ready to connect! Is it battery first then the panel to the mppt? Also do I need a circuit breaker between the battery and mppt on the +ve wire?
Thanks in advance

Always connect the battery first (a lot of controller/chargers require the voltage from the battery to configure themselves)
I would advise on a circuit breaker between mppt and solar panel and a fuse between mppt and battery but other people may have different opinions :)

As Cobra says regarding connections. I have a fuse between the mppt and battery, size will be dependant on the mppt you have. I don’t have a circuit breaker between the panels and the mppt (various sites say not required). Wish I’d put one in now as I’ve already had to cover the panels before remove the wires from the mppt due to a wiring change I wanted to make.

I added a resettable fuse on one line from solar. If ever I want to disconnect battery or work on panels it makes it far easier than unscrewing fiddly wired connection.
