as anyone fitted one of these, are they any good or can you advise of a better switch for my solar panels (for the winter)

I use something similar but only really to disconnect if working on something. Otherwise why would I turn off the solar in any season?

want to reduce the amount of charge to lithium batteries in the winter (keep them about 80%)

If you have a victron Bluetooth MPPT you can turn it off in victron connect if not just use a cheap double pole MCB and use as a switch should be DC rated but the amount of times you use it shouldn't be a problem if not.

I have the same as the OP picture. There have been criticisms of the quality although I've had no problems with mine.

Mine is very similar but I intend to replace it with a midi fuse. Not as convenient but much safer. Those Chinese circuit breakers aren't made to any standard and I don't like leaving it unattended. Funsters have had them fail.

If you have an app for the batteries you should be able to change the SOC on it

If you want an actual issolator switch i used these

Although they are still insitu i control the charging via SOC settings on my bmv712 and 2 100A dc SSRs.

that looks a bit more robust is that battery switch fused
No fuse required, the panel can only deliver 10 amps and the cable can handle that easily 👍
